Cartier holds ribbon-cutting ceremony at Women's Pavilion
The Women’s Pavilion has been established in a unique partnership with the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Cartier and the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and press preview were held ahead of the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. At the ceremony, Hiroyuki Ishige, Secretary General of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, and June Miyachi, President and CEO of Cartier Japan, cut the ribbon and celebrated the opening with the official character, “MYAKU-MYAKU.”
“Two years after we announced our participation for the Women's Pavilion in collaboration with Cartier, we are delighted to present the Women's Pavilion today. From Expo 2020 Dubai to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, the Women’s Pavilion’s mission is to create a lasting legacy by drawing inspiration from communities around the globe, unravelling the wisdom of humanity and showcasing the power of collaboration in building a more equitable and long-lasting future, one that resonates across generations.
What can each of us do, to thrive together, irrespective of gender? My own experience at the Dubai Expo has had a major change in my awareness. I hope the Women’s Pavilion can serve as a catalyst for each visitor to feel, think and act towards a brighter future, accelerating change together.”
